Sashimaki-shitsugen is a damp plain close to Lake Tazawa located in Senboku city, Akita prefecture.
It's known as a cluster of mizubasho (Japanese skunk cabbage) surrounded by alder trees.
Mizubasho can be observed closely on wood trails laid in the damp plain.

There is also a zazen-so (an eastern skunk cabbage) in a cluster of mizubasho.
